U.S. equities recovered early morning losses and nearly recovered all of its losses. The Dow Jones index traded as low as 16,278.00 before recovering more than 100 points and closing the day at 16,391.51 - down just 0.13 percent on the day. The S&P 500 index lost just 7 points to close at 1,917.76 while the Nasdaq index gained 0.38 percent and closed at 4,504.43. As is typically the case, Friday's after-hours trading session is relatively quiet with no notable earnings.
