Larsen & Toubro Reports 4% Rise In FQ2 Net Profit

reported better-than-expected net profit for the fiscal second quarter. Larsen & Toubro's quarterly net profit surged to INR7.98 billion, from INR7.65 billion, in the year-ago period. However, analysts were expecting a net profit of INR7.75 billion. Larsen & Toubro's total sales gained 19% to INR112.45 billion from INR94.22 billion.
