Artist Offers Life-Size Working Wooden Cybertruck To Elon Musk Ahead Of Upcoming Delivery Event, Here's What Tesla CEO Said

Vietnamese wooden vehicle maker Truong Van Dao has made a functional wooden replica of the Cybertruck and is looking forward to handing it over to Tesla CEO Elon Musk.

What Happened: In an open letter to Musk posted on X, formerly Twitter, the artist said that he is personally impressed with the Cybertruck and that many of his audience wanted him to build it. Van Dao goes by the name of NDWoodArt on Twitter.

“I hope to have the honor of gifting this wooden Cybertruck to you and Tesla, and wish you and Tesla continued success and maintain your position in the international arena,” the artist wrote. He added that he has ‘unwavering faith’ in the capabilities of Tesla and that he is confident of the eventual success of the vehicle.

Musk responded to the user on Friday and wrote, “Sure, much appreciated,” to much excitement of the craftsman. The artist is now awaiting details on how he can send the replica to the CEO.

“Currently I still don’t know how to deliver the car to Mr. Elon Musk. I am a Fan of Mr. Elon Musk and I really like the CyberTruck, that was the inspiration for me to carry out the project of making a wooden Cybertruck,” the artist said in a statement to Benzinga.

Why It Matters: NDWoodArt has previously made a wooden tank, a wooden Harley Davidson from an abandoned old motorcycle, a wooden Lamborghini Sian Roadster and even a replica of the six-wheel Rolls Royce.

The wooden Cybertruck apparently took a hundred days to build. Van Dao also made a wooden replica of the Cyberquad for his son which would fit into the wooden truck bed.

Meanwhile, the first deliveries of the original Tesla-made Cybertruck are scheduled to take place at Gigafactory Texas on Nov. 30.
