How To Use AirPods Adaptive Audio On iOS 17 For The Ultimate Sound Experience

With the release of Apple Inc.’s AAPL latest operating system version, iOS 17, users of second-generation AirPods Pro can now access Adaptive Audio, a new feature that dynamically adjusts noise control, providing an enhanced listening experience. Let’s dive into how it works.

What Happened: Adaptive Audio builds upon the foundation of the previous Adaptive Transparency feature. It considers users’ surroundings and interactions and combines the Transparency and Active Noise Cancellation modes in real time.

Simply put, with iOS 17, AirPods Pro can automatically adjust noise control settings as you move through different environments and activities.

For instance, imagine you’re watching a TV show or movie, Adaptive Audio will kick in and drown out the distracting noise. But, if suddenly your mother shouts for your help in the kitchen, you’ll still hear it clearly.

How To Activate Adaptive Audio: There are two simple ways one can activate this feature on their iPhones with iOS 17 update.

Step I: Connect AirPods Pro to your iPhone.

Step II: Open iPhone’s Settings.

Step III: Select “AirPods Pro.”

Step IV: Under “Noise Control,” tap “Adaptive.”

Alternatively, you can access it through the Control Center:

Step I: Swipe down from the upper-right corner of your iPhone’s screen (or swipe up from the bottom on iPhones with a Home button).

Step II: Long-press on the AirPods Pro volume slider.

Step III: Tap the “Noise Control” button and choose “Adaptive.”
