What's Going On With AMD Stock Friday?

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc AMD stock continues to pique investor curiosity as Wall Street eagerly awaits the launch of its Radeon RX 7800 and RX 7700 series graphics card. The AMD Gaming Festival will start at noon on Friday.

AMD reportedly launched a new GPU named Navi 32, marking its debut in a gaming series.

The Navi 32 GPU has up to 60 Compute Units and a 256-bit memory bus, accompanied by 64MB of Infinity Cache, as per reports.

The RX 7800 XT utilizes the entire configuration of this GPU, featuring 60 CUs, 128 AI Accelerators, and 16GB of GDDR6 memory clocked at 19.5 Gbps over a 256-bit bus. The GPU’s clock speed reaches 2430 MHz, consuming 263W of power.

The RX 7700 XT employs 54 CUs and 108 AI Accelerators, 12GB of GDDR6 memory across a 192-bit bus, although its memory clock is slightly lower at 18 Gbps.

 The RX 7800 XT will launch with the new dual-fan cooler, while the RX 7700 XT will be exclusively available through AIB partners. 

AMD partners cut prices of Radeon RX 6750 XT, 6650 XT and 6600 to to offload excess stock as the chipmaker marks the debut of RX 7800 and RX 7700 series.

Price Action: AMD shares traded lower by 1.26% at $100.60 on the last check Friday.
