Donald Trump's niece Mary Trump weighed in on the strange results thrown up by a recent poll that suggested people trusted her uncle more than their own family and friends, and the implications of these results for the 2024 general election.

What Happened: Mary Trump, a psychologist, said she was gob-smacked by the results of CBS/YouGov poll, which showed that about 71% of Donald Trump's voters feel what the former president tells is true as opposed to 63% who said they trust their friends & family and 56% who said they trust conservative media figures and 42% who trusted religious leaders.

Drawing a conclusion from the poll results, Mary Trump said a “not-insignificant” percentage of the American electorate claim they trust a man who has lied many times while being in office.

Citing the Washington Post, she said her uncle told 30,573 public lies during the four years of his administration.

Anybody who believes Donald Trump is “past reaching,” she added.

Vain Pursuit: Mary Trump said persuading Donald Trump voters not to vote for him even after his “four indictments and 91 criminal charges, and every cruelty and obscene act he has committed” is wasting time.

Way Forward: Not mindful of what Donald Trump's supporters say, their grievances, and their threat, people should go about the business of ensuring the Democratic Party wins by sufficient margins, Mary Trump said.

This will help set things right, including everything from voting rights to civil rights to LGBTQ+ rights to climate change to Supreme Court reform and “every other tenet of liberal democracy the fascists seek to undermine and destroy,” she said.

Through President Joe Biden's economic agenda, often called Bidenomics, his administration has enacted laws to curb inflation, combat climate change and incentivize domestic tech manufacturing, among other things.

The electric vehicle tax credits made available to manufacturers have helped bring down vehicle costs and push volumes.

The First Trust NASDAQ Clean Edge Green Energy Index Fund (NASDAQ:QCLN) ended Monday’s session up 1.22% at $45.59, according to Benzinga Pro data.

“We're also entering an extraordinary era of gaslighting from the right, normalization from the media, and the prospect of massive amounts of disruptions caused by the four trials of defendant Donald Trump," she added.

Mary Trump warned of the Republican party doing everything in its power to implicate Biden in crimes he did not commit and potentially impeach him over fabricated infractions and the media going overboard with its coverage of Donald Trump.

Without paying heed to any of these distractions, people must marshall their resources and protect their sanity, the podcaster said.

“If Joe Biden and the Democrats don't win, it will be the last free and fair election we ever have in this country,” Mary Trump said.

“Anything outside of reaching this goal is a distraction and we need to shut it out.”
