FOMC Alters Text, Includes 2 More Measures It Will Monitor

Wednesday's FOMC Statement varied a bit from the March statement. One of the key changes happened in the second paragraph, in the last sentence.

What the FOMC said in March:

"The Committee continues to monitor inflation developments closely."

What the FOMC added in April:

"The Committee continues to closely monitor inflation indicators and global economic and financial developments."

The FOMC is not going monitor "developments" they will now monitor "indicators and global economic and financial developments".
