Mogul Productions Brings Stan Lee Portraits to the Blockchain

In the mid-90s, comics were not just stories, they were a way of life, fostering people’s imaginations and taking them to a world beyond their own. However, while the past decades saw the birth of tens of thousands of comics, only a few of them managed to etch their place in people’s hearts permanently and Marvel Comics is undoubtedly one of them. This is why Mogul Productions has teamed up with renowned artist Rob Prior to celebrate The Legacy Collection: Portraits of Stan Lee through a collection of NFTs.

The Legacy Collection: Portraits of Stan Lee will be made available for fans on the Ethereum blockchain. The collection features adaptations of iconic Marvel covers created by artist, painter, and motion picture director Rob Prior. Prior first met the legendary comic writer at a book convention years ago. Collaboration was always in the cards and after David Gold, a mutual friend, urged them to take it forward, the duo obliged.

These paintings uniquely capture the essence of Stan Lee’s life like never before as he himself was an active part of the creative process. Ten of these paintings will go live on the Mogul Productions platform on the 27th of October for an auction. Winners of the auction will receive the  ERC-1155 standard NFT along with the physical painting signed by Stan Lee himself.

Speaking about the collection, Prior said, “A tribute to my friend Stan and the icons he helped forge, The Legacy Collection: Portraits of Stan Lee will forever be one of my proudest endeavors. I’m honored to share these pieces with you now.”

This is only the first part of the collection that is expected to feature over 95 unique pieces of art. Prior has already completed over 65 of these pieces. The schedule for future launches will be released by Mogul Productions in the near future.

Actively Decentralizing the World of Entertainment

Mogul Productions, a global NFT marketplace, and decentralized film financing platform, has been revolutionizing the entertainment industry. By letting users select the stories they want to watch on the big screen, Mogul Productions aims to shift the power dynamics in the world of entertainment and make fans the epicenter of decision-making.

This ambitious vision put Mogul Productions on the radar of everyone in the decentralized world and the platform recently conducted the first-ever blockchain-based voting for film financing, the production for which is expected to begin soon.

Early this year, Rob Prior made the news for burning his original painting on live stream only to reveal the digitized version of the same as an NFT on the Mogul platform. Rob also partnered with Mogul to launch his popular NFTs that feature a Marvel-inspired Deadpool rendition and a Star Wars painting of Luke Skywalker.

The Way Forward for Artists

The world of entertainment is changing and for the better. With the rise of blockchain technology, decentralization has become the way forward and the entertainment industry is taking strides towards this transformation. Under-represented, under-recognized artists now have a chance to catapult their careers, they play a major role in this transformation.

As NFTs continue to gain popularity, they also continue to increase the number of opportunities for creators and artists. The Legacy Collection: Portraits of Stan Lee paves the way for other artists to follow suit and unleash the full potential of NFTs.
