According to Marijuana Moment, the legislation is now heading to the Senate for consideration during a special session.

The New South Wales government is set to consider a bill that could exempt drivers with a medicinal cannabis prescription from prosecution if they test positive in a roadside drug test, with the NSW Legalise Cannabis Party proposing to treat medicinal cannabis like other legal medications for drivers, provided they are complying with their prescription and doctor's advice; however, those abusing their medication could still face impairment tests and potential prosecution under the proposed legislation, per 9 News.

Belgian start-up CBX Medical, which already sells cannabis-based products in pharmacies, will conduct extensive research into the medical potential of cannabinoids, including lesser-known ones like CBC, CBL and CBD to develop new cannabinoid-based medicines in around 10 years, supported by a grant of €573,000 ($ 624,570) from the Walloon government and additional funding of €800,000 ($ 875,444), reported Brussels Times.

The UK's National Health Service (NHS) Research Ethics Committee has approved a full-scale clinical trial on medical cannabis and non-cancer chronic pain, marking another positive development in the country's medical cannabis industry, which has seen significant growth in private prescriptions. Meanwhile, AIM-listed medical cannabis company Celadon Pharmaceuticals announced the approval for its subsidiary to launch its Canpain trial, aimed at developing new cannabinoid-based medicines with potential NHS reimbursement.

  • Moroccan Cannabis Association Teams Up With American Company For Training Program

The Moroccan Consultative Association for the Use of Cannabis (AMCUC) has partnered with the American cannabis transformation company Advanced to provide comprehensive training to farmers and medical professionals on the legal medical and agricultural applications of cannabis. The marks the first-ever collaboration between an American industry giant and a Moroccan cannabis advisory association. The goal is to strengthen the association's "KIF TAKIWNE" project focused on scientific and technical training on cannabis derivatives and proper cultivation methods, to transform cannabis cultivation in Morocco through legalization.
