Check Out These 4/20-Friendly Custom Nike Dunks: A Luxurious Ode To Cannabis Culture By PAX And Stan Birch

PAX, a prominent global cannabis brand, has unveiled a limited-edition collaboration with renowned international sneaker artist Stan Birch, creator of the FLOU Customs brand, based in the south of France.

This exclusive collection aims to emphasize the convergence of cannabis, design and fashion, inspired by the colors of PAX's latest lineup of PAX Plus flower vaporizer devices. The handmade Nike Dunk Low sneakers, featuring custom stitching, lacing and gold-stamped foil, celebrate the modern aesthetics of contemporary cannabis culture.

"Street culture in its globality represents everything for me. From shapes, to fabrics, to technology, the sneaker itself has been evolving non-stop since the creation of vulcanized rubber. Cannabis has always had an inevitable crossover with that culture," said Stan Birch. He added that he drew inspiration from the harmonious PAX device colors, which were "exactly the kind of subdued colors" he typically uses in his creations. To elevate the luxury element, Birch incorporated a 22-karat gold leaf PAX logo engraving and a golden cannabis leaf on the toe-box.

Since 2012, PAX has been at the forefront of style, modernity, and high-end cannabis culture. The brand has previously collaborated with influential figures in design, art, and fashion under the FLOU Customs umbrella. Stan Birch brings a global perspective to the intersection of style, street culture, and art.

"PAX supports artists, because artists have always supported us — from fashion to music to art and beyond, which are all core pillars of our brand," said Lauryn Livengood, Senior Director of Brand Marketing at PAX. She added that New York is the heart of design, fashion, and culture, where cannabis has always been an integral part. PAX is thrilled to commemorate the first 4/20 since adult use sales began with an expansion of their product offerings and a unique collaboration that celebrates the essence of modern cannabis culture.

The limited-edition PAX x FLOU Customs sneakers will debut at "Let There Be Light," a 4/20 fashion show held at the newly opened House of Cannabis in SoHo. The event, presented by PAX, will be hosted by popular smokewear and cannabis brand Sundae School. The interactive, crowd-sourced show will feature real New York cannabis consumers and showcase designs inspired by the culture.

On April 20, 2023, a limited number of PAX x FLOU Customs will be available through an Instagram giveaway, while the brand seeks to raise awareness for and donate to The JUSTÜS Foundation, a New York-based non-profit focused on facilitating the entry of legacy cannabis operators into the legal market.

Stan Birch, a global sneaker artist and colorway designer, has collaborated with high-profile clients like Lewis Hamilton, T.I, 21 Savage, DJ Khaled, DJ Clark Kent, Levi's, Clarks Originals, Snipes, the NBA, Lacoste, Jeff Staple, and Duke+Dexter. He will soon launch his FLOU clothing brand as he moves into the next phase of his career.
