Apothca Expands In Massachusetts, Launches Store in Arlington

Apothca Inc. is launching the first adult-use dispensary in Arlington, Massachusetts.

The new store, located at 1386 Massachusetts Ave, is Apothca's second retail location in The Bay State.

The ribbon-cutting is scheduled for Thursday, Sept.17.

The store offering would include dried flower, extracts, and edibles.

The company debuted in Massachusetts last year, by opening a dispensary at 491 Lynnway in Lynn (pictured below).

Joseph Lekach, Apothca's CEO, thanked the Arlington community and the town's officials for the "support and trust."

"We are excited to be opening the first adult-use shop in Arlington and serving the Arlington community and all those who travel near our convenient location," Lekach stated Wednesday.

The company noted the store is managed by the state's recommendations related to the current health crisis.

In addition, Apothca intends to launch another store in Boston by the end of the year.

Meanwhile, other companies in the space recently opted to expand their footprint in the state as well.

In July, cannabis company PharmaCann Inc. opened a Verilife dispensary in Shrewsbury, bringing the total number of the stores opened in Massachusetts to two.

A month later, Verano Holdings ventured into the state's cannabis market by launching two dispensaries - one in Sharon and the other in Plymouth.

"We're thrilled to bring the Zen Leaf experience to Massachusetts, help make reliable, quality cannabis more accessible, and continue our strategic expansion in the region," commented Verano's CEO, George Archos.
