Nintendo Switch 2 Makes A Stealthy Appearance At Gamescom

Rumors about the Nintendo Switch 2 have been circulating for a while, and now, according to a report, Nintendo has showcased the new console to developers at the Gamescom expo in Cologne, Germany.

According to Eurogamer, Nintendo Co., Ltd. 7974 recently demoed its much-anticipated Switch 2 to developers at Gamescom in Cologne.

The developer presentations were held privately, including tech demos of the system’s capabilities. One of these demos showcased a high-performance version of the Switch launch title, Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

While Nintendo has yet to announce plans for the Switch successor publicly, a launch is expected in 2024. However, recent reports suggest the company is eager to release the system earlier if feasible.

In the meantime, Nintendo continues to support the current Switch with a robust line-up of games slated for release through 2023 and early 2024.
