Today's tech companies need to offer more than just a 401k and paid time off. Prospective employees are increasingly looking for companies that share their values and offer quality of life.

Saima Ali knows this very well. When she decided to break from corporate America and open her own company, RevSoft Global, she knew she had to offer something different to lure the best talent to her firm. Here are her lessons for entrepreneurs who want to stand out in the competitive employment market.

Create a shared mission

Employees work harder, report greater job satisfaction, and stay longer when they are invested in their company's mission. Luckily, Ali always knew she wanted her company to be mission-driven. After 25 years working for some of the biggest US corporations, Ali sought to put her Harvard degree behind a bigger vision.

"As an American-Pakistani woman in IT, I knew that women in other countries, especially Pakistan, did not have access to the education and opportunities that I did. I decided my company would provide training and job placement for women in countries like Pakistan," Ali says.

RevSoft Global is a worldwide IT and staff procurement company. They provide state-of-the-art digital solutions, staffing for large and small projects, IT consultancies, and custom software development companies.

The state-of-the-art tech that they provide their clients also fuels their mission. The NLP (neurolinguistic processing) framework is powered by AI, linguistics, and tech. By leveraging NLP, RevSoft Global integrates tech education for underprivileged women and girls with pioneering job placement.

Ali believes, "Our mission makes us different and makes us resonate with prospective employees."

Hire intelligently

Anyone can hire off of the most impressive résumé, but RevSoft Global is proving that passion is invaluable to success in a job. With this in mind, Ali took a non-traditional route to staffing her company.

"I knew I had to hire on skillset and experience, but more importantly on a shared passion for what RevSoft Global was trying to accomplish," Ali enthuses.

Unsurprisingly, her hiring strategy yielded a committed and dedicated staff, completely devoted to both their customer's needs and the company's mission.

"My team is as dedicated to shining light on IT globally and helping create opportunities as I am. Our shared goals keep us on track and inspire us to do more every day," Ali explains.

Be the leader you wanted

Prospective employees are doing their research and want to avoid the dreaded "toxic work environment." Through social media and networking sites, employees are seeking intel on the leadership style of potential employers. Likewise, Ali's 25 years in corporate America exposed her to many leadership styles. She is determined to be the leader that she always wanted.

She sets the tone with her dedication to inclusiveness, innovation, and empowerment of women.  Additionally, Ali does not lord her position as CEO over her co-workers. Instead, she opts to encourage The Golden Rule.

"I am not the boss. I am a servant leader. Every team member at RevSoft Global is here to give our customers the best service, support each other's dreams, and create opportunities for those who need them. Throughout my career, I learned many lessons from watching leaders, good and bad. At RevSoft Global, we treat everyone the way we want to be treated," Ali explains.

Offer benefits that resonate

Employees-to-be are searching for benefits that will improve their lives, and RevSoft took this into account when developing their employee benefit package.

"Our mission is not limited to changing the financial future of our employees. We also aim to elevate the quality of their lives," says Ali.

As a result, RevSoft Global places a strong emphasis on the well-being of its employees, recognizing that their health is paramount. They provide a range of resources to support their physical and mental well-being, including an Employee Assistance Program, access to free nutritionist consultations, uplifting spiritual healing counseling sessions, and exclusive discounts on gym memberships.

As one of the (soon-to-be) Top IT firms globally, Ali shares her vision of offering her team world-class benefits, including health, dental, vision, 401k matching, as well as the enhanced benefits listed above. Emerging countries often lack some of the standard benefit packages; the enhanced benefits package offering in emerging countries will enable Revsoft Global and the Jamila Foundation to create a self-sustaining organic ecosystem.

And Ali, a working single mom herself, made sure to add emergency backup childcare for employees who are parents.

Ali reports, "I want my team members to bring the best version of themselves to the table. We show them that we value their health and wellness as well as the roles that they have outside of work as parents."

Innovation and Future-focused

Job searchers want to know that their future employer will thrive in the ever-changing IT market. People are searching for career potential where they can continue to improve their skills as tech evolves.

Ali intuitively understands this and makes innovation and cutting-edge tech a priority at RevSoft to benefit her customers, mission, and employees.

"We embrace innovation and stay ahead of the curve. We have an ambitious goal: to revolutionize the IT sourcing industry by harnessing the potential of Pakistani talent, particularly women, and providing forward-thinking solutions that drive business growth for our clients and team members," Ali comments.

Lastly, Ali recommends that entrepreneurs feature their employee benefits and company ethos prominently on their websites. But only if it is authentic to the truth of your company.

"Transparency is key to building your team. There is industry talk, message boards, and social networking. Today's job hunters see through artifice and PR speak," Ali advises.
