Ghislaine Maxwell To Clean Toilets, Wash Dishes In Florida Prison For 15 Cents Per Hour

Ghislaine Maxwell, the disgraced assistant to the late New York financier Jeffrey Epstein, was transferred to a low-security prison in Florida after receiving a 20-year sentence for her participation in a sex-trafficking ring. where she and Epstein would recruit and groom minor girls for his abuse.

Maxwell, 60, is currently housed at the Federal Correctional Institution in Tallahassee, where she must get up at 6 am every day to work her regular job of cleaning toilets, bathrooms, and dishes for a wage of 15 to 27 cents an hour, which is the going rate for trustee employees in the Florida state correctional system.

Prison consultants who spoke with Mail Online said that Maxwell’s current job assignment is temporary, and she will eventually be placed in a long-term role where she could manage payroll, or read water meters.

Holli Coulman, the co-founder of Pink Lady Prison Consultants, said Maxwell was sent to the Tallahassee prison instead of her lawyer's request of FCI Danbury in Connecticut because it has staff better trained to handle her.

“The prison will assign their best staff to her and will put her with an older woman who is drama free," Coulman said to Mail Online.

Coulman also warned that Maxwell should be humble, saying the key to surviving in prison is to mind your own business and keep a low profile.

Maxwell will be eligible for release on July 17, 2037.

Maxwell is joining a small group of notable individuals who have served time at FCI Tallahassee, including Colleen LaRose, also known as "Jihad Jane," for providing material support to terrorists, and Maria Butina, the Russian secret agent who attempted to infiltrate conservative U.S. political groups. LaRose was released in 2018, while Butina was released in 2019 and deported to Russia.
