The comprehensive database of over 31 million incidents, has added over 880,000 reports from the Will County Sheriff's Office and the Chicago Office of Emergency Management and Communications.

During the first quarter of 2012, Chicago saw the highest increase of homicides prompting the police department to begin preventative strategies to combat the surge of crime like a gun buyback program.
