The MA LED AR111 is an 18W replacement for 12v halogen spot lights.

Brooklyn, New York (PRWEB) January 03, 2013

Brooklyn-based OEM LED Waves is proud to announce a new LED bulb added to their exclusive American-made product line. The Massachusetts (MA) LED AR111 is a 12v 18 Watt replacement for 75 Watt halogen down light bulbs.

A niche product, the AR111 is typically specified for hospitality settings such as reception areas and restrooms, and for galleries and retail spaces that call for spotlights with more beam control. These futuristic look of this type of lamp lends itself particularly well for high end commercial applications.

LED Waves' LED AR111 is a retrofit, plug and play replacement for these low voltage bulbs. Its “push and turn” screw terminal is compatible with G53 based ceiling fixtures, as well as low volt modular light pieces and LED track lighting.

Issues with halogen AR111s include high operating temperatures, which not only shortens the lifespan of the lamp (typical 2,000 hours), but also makes them difficult to replace. The MA LED AR111 solves these problems with the low Wattage, low heat output, and long lifespan inherent to solid state lighting technology.

The MA LED AR111 achieves the crisp spot beam characterized by AR111s by employing a single, powerful chip as a light source. LED Waves specified the MT-G2, the newest innovation from leading diode manufacturer Cree. The MT-G2 is the first LED to represent the American company's EasyWhite technology, which improves light quality, along with their silicon carbide substrates, which reduces costs for consumers.

The MA AR111 LED light bulb is available in beam angles of 16, 26 and 39 degrees and in color temperatures of warm 3000K and neutral 4000K. (Cool white 5000K is available by special order.) Like all of LED Waves' exclusive LED lights made in the USA, it is covered by the company's 5 Year Warranty. Professional lighting specifiers may obtain pricing by quantity or request a sample by calling 1(800)986-0169.

This is the second low-volt LED light bulb introduced to LED Waves' American-made line. Their first 12v product was the Los Angeles LED MR16: a <5 Watt replacement for 35 Watt halogen spot light bulbs with a GU5.3 bipin base. LED Waves also specializes in affordable energy-saving replacements for line voltage PAR lamps for the home, as well as high-voltage LED luminaires for the industrial sector.
