) cares at all about its bottom line, the company would not cannibalize sales of the iPad 2 and deter hype from the iPhone 5 by releasing an iPad 3 too soon? Apparently they did. In any case,

) that the iPad 3 won't be released in 2011. DigiTimes takes this report one step further by saying the new tablet will not go on sale before spring 2012. In theory, this makes perfect sense: by waiting until March or later, Apple will avoid any potential hype conflicts with the next iPhone.
