Rumor: iPad 3 Coming Christmas 2011

Could the next iteration of Apple's

iPad make it into stores before Santa arrives? That's what CLSA, an Asian research firm, believes. According to the

, CLSA says that while most vendors appear fixated on matching the specs and features of iPad 2, “our checks suggest Apple will release iPad3 in time for the holiday season, sporting a better display and LTE capabilities.” This quote is pretty intriguing, to say the least. But as

points out, this isn't the first time a report suggested that the next iPad would launch in 2011. Realistically, however, this doesn't make much sense. Apple could easily sell millions of iPad 2s this Christmas, save the iPad 3 for February, and then start the cycle all over again.
