Safe Pro Strikes AI Defense Deal To Boost Ukraine's Efforts To Deal With Landmines

Safe Pro Group Inc. SPAI, a leader in AI-powered defense and security solutions, has entered into a multi-year Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Ukraine's Center of Excellence for Mine Action and Environmental Security.

The agreement aims to explore integrating Safe Pro's patented image processing technology, SpotlightAI, into Ukraine's demining operations and training programs.

With over 138,500 square kilometers of land potentially contaminated by landmines and unexploded ordnance (UXO), Ukraine faces one of the most severe demining challenges in modern history. The ongoing war has left millions of acres of farmland unusable, resulting in billions of dollars in economic losses and reduced food production.

Traditional demining methods are slow, dangerous and expensive. SpotlightAI, powered by artificial intelligence and drone imagery, provides a faster, more accurate alternative. The system has analyzed over 1.29 million drone images, identifying over 23,000 explosive threats across 5,338 hectares. It processes images in under a second and generates high-resolution, GPS-tagged maps to enhance situational awareness.

Under the oversight of Ukraine's Ministry of Defense, the Center will lead the testing and validation of SpotlightAI. Together, Safe Pro and the Center aim to modernize demining standards, accelerate land clearance and support Ukraine's recovery with advanced AI-driven solutions.
