Nasdaq Gains Over 100 Points; Li Auto Delivers 48,740 Vehicles In November

U.S. stocks traded higher this morning, with the Nasdaq Composite gaining more than 100 points on Monday.

Following the market opening Monday, the Dow traded up 0.09% to 44,953.54 while the NASDAQ gained 0.54% to 19,322.17. The S&P 500 also rose, gaining, 0.21% to 6,045.08.

Leading and Lagging Sectors

Consumer discretionary shares jumped by 1.3% on Monday.

In trading on Monday, real estate shares fell by 0.6%.

Top Headline

Li Auto Inc. (NASDAQ:LI) said on Sunday that it delivered 48,740 vehicles in November, marking an 18.8% jump in sales year-over-year but a 5.3% drop from October when it delivered 51,443 vehicles.

The rise in sales, Li Auto said, could be attributed to robust sales across its model lineup.

In commodity news, oil traded up 1.3% to $68.89 while gold traded down 0.4% at $2,669.70.

Silver traded down 0.4% to $30.990 on Monday, while copper fell 0.1% to $4.1350.

Euro zone

European shares were higher today. The eurozone's STOXX 600 gained 0.6%, Germany's DAX climbed 1.3% and France's CAC 40 gained 0.1%. Spain's IBEX 35 Index rose 0.7%, while London's FTSE 100 rose 0.4%.

Asia Pacific Markets

Asian markets closed mostly higher on Monday, with Japan's Nikkei 225 gaining 0.80%, Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index gaining 0.65%, China's Shanghai Composite Index climbing 1.13% and India's BSE Sensex gaining 0.56%.

Economics

The manufacturing PMI will be released today.
