The World Can Be Dangerous, But Protection Doesn't Have To Be Inconvenient: Xtract One Technologies CEO Discusses How To Make That Possible

Peter Evans, CEO of Xtract One Technologies (OTC:XTRAF), was recently a guest on Benzinga's All Access.

Xtract One is a technology-driven provider of threat detection and security solutions. The company leverages AI to make unobtrusive weapons and threat detection systems that enable facility operators to deliver walk-right-in experiences while providing safety and protection.

"With us, people stream right in and the system is smart enough when you walk by to understand that's a gun, that's a knife, that's a cell phone, that's your keys," Evans told Benzinga during the interview, "While the average metal detector gets six people per minute through, we can hit up about 50 to 60 people per minute." Evans said with Xtract One's systems at schools, hospitals, concerts, sporting events and other public venues, people don't have to put their backpacks through an X-ray machine, empty their pockets and purses or wait in long lines.

The lack of a visible X-ray machine is one of the reasons the company is inking deals with school districts, including Volusia County Schools in Florida and the Meridian Public School District in Mississippi, and is in ongoing talks with others. With 130,000 K-12 schools around the country, Evans says it’s a $26 billion market that Xtract One is uniquely positioned to serve.
