Mitsui Quarterly Profit Declines 24%

reported a 24% drop in its latest fiscal quarter profit. Mitsui's quarterly net profit fell to Y85.6 billion ($930 million), from Y112.9 billion, in the year-ago period. Its operating profit declined to Y48.6 billion from Y94.7 billion, while revenue rose to Y1.813 trillion from Y1.317 trillion. Mitsui shares fell 1.05% to close at $298.87 on Friday.
