Holcim H1 Net Profit Up 9%

Holcim Ltd (OTC:

) reported a 9% rise in its first-half net profit. Holcim's consolidated net sales gained 2.1% to 10.4 billion Swiss francs, while operating EBITDA gained 1.9% to CHF1.9 billion. Holcim's net income climbed 6.6% to CHF624 million, while cash flow from operating activities jumped 194.2% to CHF211 million. Its consolidated cement sales surged 4.4% to 74 million tonnes. Holcim shares fell 1.94% to close at $12.16 yesterday.
