Yamaha Motor Q1 Net Profit Drops 14%

Yamaha Motor Co

reported a drop in its net profit for the fiscal first quarter. Yamaha Motor's quarterly net profit declined 14% to Y11.52 billion, from Y13.45 billion, in the year-ago period. Revenue declined 0.8% to Y315.91 billion from Y318.60 billion, while operating profit dropped 40% to Y12.43 billion from Y20.62 billion. Yamaha Motor shares closed at $11.48 on Friday.
