KBC Posts Upbeat Q1 Profit

KBC NV (OTC:

) reported a drop in its first-quarter net profit. KBC's quarterly net profit fell to EUR380 million, from EUR821 million, in the year-ago period. However, analysts were expecting a net profit of EUR221 million.
