Woolworths Posts 3.8% Rise In Q3 Sales

Woolworths Ltd (OTC:

) reported a 3.8% y/y rise in total group sales in the third quarter to 14.1 billion Australian dollars (US$14.58 billion). Woolworths' quarterly sales from continuing operations climbed 3.9% y/y to A$13.7 billion. It also reported that Australian food and liquor sales gained 2.9% y/y to A$9.4 billion. Woolworths shares closed at $27.00 yesterday.
