Intertek 2011 Profit Surges 12%

Intertek Group PLC (OTC: IKTSY) posted a 12% increase in its full year profit. Intertek's profit before tax for the year climbed to GBP213.0 million, from GBP189.9 million in 2010. Its revenue surged 27% to GBP1,749 million. Intertek's adjusted operating profit surged 24% to GBP281 million. Its operating profit rose to GBP234.0 million from GBP206.5 million. Intertek's EPS came in at 85.3 pence, versus 79.3 pence in 2010. Intertek proposed a dividend of 33.7 pence per share, versus 28.1 pence in 2010.
