Hindalco Reports 16% Rise In Net Profit

Hindalco Industries Ltd

reported a 16% surge in Q2 net profit. Hindalco's quarterly standalone net profit climbed to INR5.02 billion, from INR4.34 billion, in the year-ago period. Its net sales gained 7% to INR62.20 billion from INR58.03 billion. Analysts were expecting an unconsolidated net profit of INR5.49 billion.
