Ashtead Reports Strong Rise In FQ1 Pretax Profit

reported a strong rise in its pretax profit for the fiscal first quarter. Ashtead's quarterly pretax profit surged to GBP33.1 million, from GBP14.0 million, in the year-ago quarter. Its revenue climbed 11% to GBP243.9 million from GBP219.6 million.
