"Adam brings extraordinary leadership experience and operational expertise to the next phase of our partnership journey together, and I am extremely happy with his well-deserved promotion."
"Scott's visionary focus on people first since Ultimate's inception has created our unmatched culture of trust, and it has been the cornerstone of our success as a company," said Adam Rogers, co-CEO, Ultimate. "His clarity on ethical values, inclusive collaboration, and uncompromising excellence in customer solutions has fueled innovation at Ultimate and inspired transformation in the HCM industry. I am honored to be our co-CEO and look forward to serving our colleagues and customers in this capacity."
In their roles as co-CEOs, Scherr will lead Ultimate's growth and culture strategies through sales, marketing, and human resources; Rogers will lead the company's technology vision, product development, services, and operations, including finance and legal.
Julie Dodd has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer, reporting to Rogers, and is now responsible for all aspects of operations as well as services at Ultimate. Dodd joined Ultimate in 2007 and has served as Ultimate's Chief Services Officer since 2013, with responsibility for support and implementation for Ultimate's customers. Previously, she held executive positions in Ultimate's Mid-Market Services, Operations, and Product Strategy areas.
"Julie's leadership in operational excellence, authenticity as a communicator, and dedication to elevating customer experience through innovative approaches have inspired intense customer loyalty, giving Ultimate an industry-leading customer retention rate," added Scherr. "Beyond that, her business acumen and record of consistent results make her uniquely qualified to lead strategic prioritization and first-rate execution in our operations."
Ultimate is in an unprecedented period of growth, market recognition, and global expansion. The co-CEO model will strengthen this upward trajectory as the company drives toward Ultimate's next milestone objectives of $2 billion in revenue in 2021 and $3 billion in 2024, as well as longer-term business goals.
