Citron Research To Make 'Major Announcement' At 9 AM

Citron Research is due to make a major announcement today at 9 am EST, the activist short-seller said in a tweet. 

Citron mentions that the announcement should be watched by all individual investors and ends with “Free Speech and Cautious Investing to all.”

The frenzied trading in individual stocks started with GameStop Corp. GME when short-seller Andrew Left gave his short thesis on the company.

After the power surge that started on Redditt’s WallStreetBets forum, Left became a victim of online threats and hacking. 

“We will no longer be commenting on GameStop, not because we do not believe our investment thesis but rather the angry mob who owns this stock has spent the past 48 hours committing multiple crimes that I will be turning over to the FBI, SEC and other government agencies,” Left said in a tweet from Citron’s new account.
