Hi, I'm Jim Gordon and you're watching Market One Minute. Joining us is Don Currie. He is the CEO and Director of Hillcrest Energy Technologies. Don, welcome.

Don Currie

Thank you for having me.

Jim Gordon

Great to have you, sir. Okay, tell us about Hillcrest Energy.

Don Currie

Hillcrest is a clean technology power conversion company. We've developed a technology platform whereby we can create higher efficiencies, eliminate switching losses, and it's unique to the world. This is something that has been tried for 30 years, and has not been able to be commercially produced; we've done that. And we're now in the process of presenting it to potential partners and customers.

And what makes your technology so unique?

Don Currie

As I mentioned, it's ZVS or ZVS. It's a Zero Voltage Switching technology which is soft switching. No one in the world at this point in time has created Zero Voltage Switching efficiencies, which we have. Our first product is an inverter. An inverter takes direct current to alternate current.

So, for instance, in a car, a battery is direct current, the motor is alternate current and the inverter basically runs the car. It drives the car. And so, we're the first to be able to create this technology that increases efficiency while creating financial benefits along the way.

And what do you mean when you refer to your ZVS technology as a platform?

Don Currie

The platform is where the technology is created. The technology works at a platform level, whereby we then create products that come from it. The first product is the ZVS inverter that goes into cars, EVs. We can do the same in grid-related or what we call stationary. So there's renewables, there's wind, there's solar, and there will be products that are developed for that sector as well. So the platform or the technology sits on a platform and then we take that technology and put it towards single uses or other uses outside of the EV.

And Don, you recently announced progress with two co-development partners, tell us more.

Don Currie

Yeah, we're very excited about it. One is a global tier-one supplier. They supply products to all the OEMs and manufacturers, car manufacturers around, as well as other applications. There's a four-stage milestone. We passed two at this point in time going into three and four. The European OEM that we've talked about is a well-known automotive manufacturer where we have been demonstrating the abilities of our technology to them. And we are now moving into the final stages before definitive commercial agreements are talked about.

Final question for you, Don. What does Hillcrest Energy offer for investors?

Don Currie

We think massive upside. We're very excited about the fact that we're the only people in the world that have this technology. And it's a technology that's wanted by the actual customers that we're talking about, the partners who we're talking about. The industry's been trying to develop this for over 30 years, and we're the first to be able to put it into a commercial form. So we think that we're at the beginning stages; we have interest, we have seven companies we're working with right now. Our bandwidth just doesn't allow us to work for more, but we have more waiting in the background. So over the next couple of years, we look to go from the development of what we're into commercialization and profitability.
