Berkshire's Most Powerful Phase Still Lies Ahead

From Phase 1 to Phase 14, Berkshire Hathaway has shown over 90% alignment with the Adhishthana Principles. With 146 months left in Berkshire's full 18-phase cycle, the key question now is what the future looks like through the lens of Adhishthana.

Phase 14 of Berkshire ended with a strong Satoguna move. In the framework, this indicates a period of strong upward momentum. This further suggests that Phase 18, beginning on January 1, 2031, will not witness any sharp initial correction and will likely achieve its Nirvana — the highest point of the underlying throughout the 18 phases.

But one strong phase alone doesn't determine the long-term direction. In the principles, Phases 14, 15, and 16 together form what is known as the Guna Triads. These phases collectively shape the final outcome of Phase 18.

  • Phase 15 begins on May 1, 2025, and runs through December 31, 2026.
  • Phase 16 follows from January 1, 2027, to December 31, 2028.

These two windows will ultimately define how Berkshire concludes its journey starting in January 2031.

For a more structured analysis, at Adhishthana we apply the framework to both Class A and B shares of Berkshire Hathaway. Interestingly, both classes reflect the cycle in their own way. Class A shares are entering Phase 15, while Class B shares are currently in Phase 9 — a phase associated with large-scale, supreme moves. If we reverse-map and align the timing of Berkshire with the principles, we can project that Class A shares may also exhibit a supreme move in Phase 15.

If Phase 15 is also Satoguna-led, it sets Berkshire (Class A) up for a very strong and clean rally in Phase 18, eventually leading it to achieve its long-anticipated Nirvana.

At Adhishthana, our clients are maintaining their long exposure in Berkshire Hathaway. We do expect a period of stagnation from January 1, 2029, to December 31, 2030. However, no long-term portfolio restructuring is planned, as we are all geared up to witness the final Nirvana move in Berkshire's cycle.
