Bitcoin Falls Below $70,000 Following Inflation Data; Gala Becomes Top Loser

Bitcoin BTC/USD moved lower, with the cryptocurrency prices trading below the key $70,000 level on Wednesday.

Ethereum ETH/USD also recorded losses, trading belowthe key $3,600 mark this morning.

Nervos Network CKB/USD was the top gainer over the prior 24 hours, while Gala GALA/USD turned out to be the biggest loser.

U.S. annual inflation rate rose for a second consecutive month to 3.5% in March from 3.2% in February.

At the time of writing, the global crypto market cap fell to $2.58 trillion, recording a 24-hour decline of 2.8%. BTC was trading lower by 2.3% at $69,077 while ETH fell by around 3.2% to $3,520 on Wednesday.
