Ethereum (CRYPTO: ETH) also traded lower, falling below the major $1,200 level.
Stacks (CRYPTO: STX) was the top gainer over the prior 24 hours, while Curve DAO Token (CRYPTO: CRV) turned out to be the biggest loser.
At the time of writing, the global crypto market cap fell to $818.47 billion, recording a 24-hour decline of 2.9%. BTC was trading lower by 2.2% at $16,185.00, while ETH fell by around 3.6% to $1,170.57 on Monday.
