Denise Pollicella, Founder and Managing Partner at Cannabis Attorneys of Law, moderated at the Benzinga Cannabis Capital Conference at the ‘Green Possibilities in Red State Markets’ panel.
Historically, the states that have legalized cannabis have largely been blue states. However, in Denise’s experience, she has seen that even red municipalities in blue states support cannabis and she views cannabis as a “great unifier”, and the conversation then evolved into why red states are a little slower to adopt recreational cannabis laws. Pollicella was also a panelist at the ‘Engaging the Cannabis Workforce Amidst a Capital Crunch’ panel. One major point made at that panel was that there are a lot of potential jobs that are not being tapped into, and there was discussion around how to increase hiring, and hire the right people.
