Ryan Serhant Just Sold Andy Cohen's West Village Duplex Apartment — But It Took A $2 Million Price Cut

Andy Cohen, Emmy Award-winning host, producer and author, has snatched up four apartment units to build his dream home in New York City's West Village. Ryan Serhant, a real estate broker known for being on Bravo's "Million Dollar Listing New York" and Netflix's "Owning Manhattan," just sold it. It took a very special property to get Cohen to move out of this New York City apartment, but he found the one thing he was always missing.

Don't Miss:

As detailed on Zillow, the duplex was listed in September 2024 for $14 million. The price dropped by $2 million in February, and as of May 19, an offer has been accepted. The four-bedroom, five-bathroom home is very unique. It's a Bing & Bing pre-war duplex that came about rather organically. The New York Times reported that Cohen purchased a unit, now the ground floor of the duplex, in 2003 for $1.4 million. A doorman told him that the apartment above his might be available soon, and Cohen snagged it. Then, he purchased two adjacent studio apartments. He worked with architect Gordon Kahn to create one giant unit.

"The first time I ever walked into Andy's apartment, I said, ‘Whenever you are willing to part with this, even if I have to pull it from your grip, please let me know. Because it's a one of one,'" Serhant told the Times when it went up for sale.

The 3,500-square-foot corner property is across the street from Jackson Square Park, one of New York's oldest parks. There's a playground just minutes away, too. There's a bedroom suite on the ground level that has its own entrance, so it's ideal to use for a live-in nanny or as a guest room so visitors can come and go as they please.

The listing says that the home was available furnished, so if the new owners opted for that, they could sit at the same desk in the office where Cohen hosted many virtual "Watch What Happens Live" and "The Real Housewives" reunions.

"It's one of those treasures that you wait your whole career for to find something like this that you get to bring to market and sell," Serhant told The Times. And he has done just that.

Cohen isn't going far, though. He's headed just four minutes away to another Bing & Bing building in the West Village. He purchased an $18 million penthouse that has outdoor space, the one thing he couldn't build in his other dream home. This new beginning has 3,000 square feet inside and a 2,000-square-foot terrace.

"It was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity," Cohen told The Times. "I had to take it."
