This Los Angeles home isn't shying away from its celebrity roots. "Welcome to a celebrity-owned home in Sullivan Canyon," says the Core Real Estate Group listing held by Nancie Richards. Known for his role in "Modern Family," Ed O'Neill and his wife, Catherine Rusoff, are saying goodbye to their second home in the area. It's been listed for $6.695 million.
Located in the Brentwood neighborhood, the home was built in 1952 and designed by Cliff May from Choate Associates Architects. May is known for having combined the western ranch house and Hispanic hacienda styles, earning the nickname "the father of the California ranch house."

O'Neill bought the property in 2004 for $2.6 million, according to Zillow. In 2011, as detailed in Robb Report, he snagged a second property not far from the first one for $3.05 million. It was also designed by May and previously owned by cinematographer Robert Richardson. It has two bedrooms and two bathrooms.
The single-family residence for sale has one story and leans into the indoor-outdoor living, which May's style was all about. The backyard has an in-ground pool with a waterslide, a spot for outdoor dining, a fountain and plenty of greenery.

For vino fans, the star of the home might be the wine cave that is accessible through the outside of the home. It consists of an entire room with shelves to house hundreds – maybe even thousands – of bottles. And since the property is located less than a mile from the Sullivan Canyon Community Equestrian Center, people who ride horses might be especially inclined to make an offer.
O'Neill also has a Hawaii home on the Big Island. The oceanfront property is located on the Ke’Olu Golf Course in Kailua-Kona. He purchased the four-bedroom, four-and-a-half-bathroom house in 2019 for $6.25 million.
