Mixing business with pleasure is never usually advised, and neither is mixing business with business, especially if your business is government-related. However, that hasn’t deterred President Donald Trump from putting his name on a series of real estate projects in the Middle East.
Trump said in February that Gaza should become a "Middle East Riviera." The latest developments by his family's company attempts to make good on the goal of creating a tourist mecca. However, his plans do not include Gaza. In Qatar, the Trump Organization is planning a new golf course and real estate development that involves a Qatari government-owned firm, Reuters reported on April 29. The deal was agreed upon two weeks before Trump was due to travel to the Middle East on a state visit, to Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates.

Trump Branded Real Estate Projects Throughout The Middle East
The president’s son, Eric Trump, was in Qatar during the last week of April to promote the organization’s business developments, including a Trump-branded tower in Dubai, the New York Times reported. The Trump Organization’s partner in the project is Dar Global, the international arm of Saudi Arabia’s Dar Al Arkan Real Estate Development Co., which is closely tied to the Saudi government. Two more Trump-branded towers are set to be constructed in Saudi Arabia’s Jeddah and Riyadh, as well as real estate projects in Oman, the Times reported.
Rooftop Pool
The Trump International Hotel & Tower, Dubai, will be a super-tall 80-story building rising over 1,100 feet. The roof will feature an exclusive members only resort-style pool, on the roof, Dar Global and the Trump Organization said in a joint statement.
The Jeddah tower will rise to 47 stories along the Red Sea Coast and include high-end residences, the Arab News reports. It is being funded by London-based Dar Global, which is also financing the Dubai tower. “We’ve got all the plans and we just started the pre-construction works,” Eric Trump told Al-Eqtisadiah in an interview. “This is going to be by far the nicest building in Jeddah and really a building that we’re incredibly proud of as a family.”

Questions About A Conflict Of Interest
The Trump Organization’s real estate deals are just some of the business deals the president’s family has been involved in since his return to office, including various cryptocurrency ventures.
Other Trump-affiliated projects include a hotel and golf project being built in Oman on state-owned land, with the Omani government receiving a percentage of the profits, the Times says. The Trump Organization has teamed up with Jared Kushner, President Trump’s son-in-law, to develop a new hotel in Serbia, the New York Times reports.
Eric Trump defended against any questions about a conflict of interest regarding the Trump Organization’s business dealings in the area in light of a formal ethics statement that the company released when Donald Trump took office for the second time earlier this year, the Times reported. The statement said that that the company would have “no new transactions with foreign governments” but pursue international deals.
“Our partners Dar purchased land from them,” Eric Trump said after a signing event with Dar Global and representatives from the Qatari government, according to the Times. “We have zero relationship with them — they are there showing me the vision of the city.”
