Honda Motor Co (NYSE:
HMC) reported a 61% surge in its fiscal fourth quarter profit. The company expects global sales of 4.3 million vehicles for this fiscal year.
Honda's quarterly net profit rose to 71.5 billion yen ($882.7 million), from 44.5 billion yen in the year-ago period.
For the fiscal year ended March 31, Honda's profit declined 60% to 211.4 billion yen
HMC shares closed at $35.97 yesterday.
