Rivian Automotive Inc (NASDAQ:RIVN) has unveiled a new product for biking enthusiasts at its gear shop – the Rivian tailgate pad for the R1T electric truck, capable of transporting up to 4 bikes with ease.

These lightweight tailgate pads, weighing approximately 5 lbs, are priced at $200 and come with a 2-year warranty. Constructed from durable materials, including nylon ripstop, neoprene, and EVA Foam, they feature padded buckles for securing bikes safely.

This new accessory from Rivian’s gear shop allows truck owners to effortlessly transport their bikes without the need for additional accessories. It also eliminates the necessity of hoisting bikes onto the roof, making it a convenient solution for outdoor enthusiasts. The tailgate pad can accommodate a range of bike sizes, ensuring compatibility for various cyclists.

Rivian states on its website, “If your bike has two wheels and one seat, this tailgate pad should help you secure it.”

Rivian’s gear shop offers a variety of accessories for drivers who want to transport outdoor equipment in their trucks, including SUP/Surfboard mounts, Kayak mounts, cargo crossbars, ski/snowboard mounts, and more.
