Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, Dogecoin Gain as Trump Touts 'Good Meeting' With Iran: Analyst Says BTC 'Sitting' Above Strong Support

Leading cryptocurrencies ticked higher on Tuesday as investors digested President Donald Trump’s latest remarks on Iran peace negotiations.

Crypto Market Stabilizes

Bitcoin faced resistance near the upper-$86,000 range after climbing above $87,000 the previous day. Ethereum oscillated in the $2,700 region, while XRP and Dogecoin held on to their gains.

Over $266 million was liquidated from the cryptocurrency market in the last 24 hours, as short positions suffered heavier losses than long bets, according to Coinglass data.

Bitcoin’s open interest rose 0.85% over the last 24 hours. Binance’s retail derivatives traders held a net short position on Bitcoin, while whales marginally increased their long exposure.

Market sentiment cooled from “Extreme Greed” to “Greed,” according to the Crypto Fear & Greed Index.

Top Gainers (24 Hours)

The global cryptocurrency market cap today is $3.03 trillion, marking a 0.5% change in the last 24 hours.

Nasdaq Rises to New Record

Stocks delivered a mixed performance on Tuesday. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 185.14 points, or 0.36%, to end at 51,863.39. The S&P 500 closed near flat at 7,764.64. The tech-focused Nasdaq Composite rallied 0.5% to close at a new record of 27,244.27.

Investors remained on edge as Trump sent mixed signals on Iran. He told reporters that U.S. officials had a “very good” meeting with the Iranian delegation at the United Nations General Assembly.

During the UNGA address, Trump said he has a “big decision” to make, whether to make a deal with Iran or “annihilate” the country.

Bitcoin to Reclaim $100,000?

Cryptocurrency analyst Ali Martinez identified Bitcoin’s “strong support” at $84,569, with additional support near $77,000, citing the Unspent Transaction Output Realized Price Distribution chart.

The indicator maps out the exact price levels where existing coin supplies last moved or were acquired on-chain.

“With support below, overhead resistance is thinning out,” Martinez added. “The next major URPD resistance sits near $104,765, where roughly 283,000 BTC were traded.”

Michaël van de Poppe, another widely followed cryptocurrency commentator, anticipated Bitcoin’s potential liquidity sweep to $84,000

“If the markets are giving me this opportunity, that’s where you’ll need to be getting interested in potential longs,” Van De Poppe added.
