Kirkland's Inc (NASDAQ:
KIRK) swung to a fiscal second-quarter loss on Friday.
Kirkland's posted a quarterly loss of $480,000, or $0.02 per share, versus a profit of $3.25 million, or $0.16 per share, in the year-ago period. Its sales rose 0.2% to $89.7 million. Its same-store sales dropped 8%. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $0.02 per share on revenue of $91.80 million.
Kirkland's shares dropped 5.64% to close at $8.36 yesterday.
