Bitcoin Near $17,000; EthereumPoW, GMX Among Top Gainers

Crypto prices traded slightly higher this morning, with Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC), the most valued cryptocurrency in the world, approaching the $17,000 level on Thursday.

Ethereum (CRYPTO: ETH) also edged higher, trading above the key $1,200 level.

EthereumPoW (CRYPTO: ETHW) was the top gainer over the prior 24 hours, while BinaryX (CRYPTO: BNX) turned out to be the biggest loser.

At the time of writing, the global crypto market cap rose to $852.92 billion, recording a 24-hour gain of 0.2%. BTC was trading higher by 0.9% at $16,986, while ETH rose by around 0.3% to $1,269 on Thursday.
