Founded in Australia in 2006, and with offshore offices in Mauritius and Saint Vincent in the Grenadines, award-winning GO Markets gives you access to forex trading in over 50 currency pairs and contract for difference or CFD trading in over 600 products that include commodities, indices, metals and individual shares. The broker allows leverage of up to 500:1, although clients in the EU and UK can only access leverage of 30:1. To open a live account with GO Markets, you’ll need to make a minimum deposit of $200 for either of the Standard and GO Plus+ account types offered, which have different commission schedules. In both types of accounts, you can trade over 50 currency pairs and CFDs on shares, indices, commodities and cryptocurrencies with a minimum trade size of 0.01 lots.

Is GO Markets regulated?


Yes, GO Markets has oversight from the ASIC in Australia. The online broker has two registrations as Australian Proprietary Companies under ACN numbers 080 864 039 and 653 400 527. The broker is also registered with the Financial Services Commission (FSC) of Mauritius as an Investment Dealer (Discount Broker) under license No. GB 19024896, and it is registered as GO Markets Ltd with CySEC as an EU Merchant Company under License No. 322/17. What is CFD trading?


A contract for difference (CFD) consists of a derivative contract that has its price based on that of its underlying asset. CFDs allow traders to speculate on short-term price or exchange rate movements. When trading CFDs, you don’t need to take possession of or deliver the underlying asset. You can also go long or short the CFDs and can trade them using leverage. If you’re based in the UK, you also don’t have to pay stamp duty on your CFD stock trades, which is typically 0.5% of the trade amount when buying shares outright.
