Strategy (NASDAQ:MSTR) Executive Chairman Michael Saylor predicts Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) is entering a new four-year bull market despite macroeconomic uncertainty.
Why Will Bitcoin Cross $100,000
Speaking on Schwab Network’s Market Overtime on Monday, Saylor said Bitcoin’s rebound from its 200-week exponential moving average suggests the previous bear market has ended.
Saylor predicts Bitcoin could return to $100,000 within 12 months, although he stopped short of guaranteeing a year-end breakout.
He identified three major catalysts: growing digital credit issuance, banks offering BTC-backed lending and the expansion of tokenized securities.
Saylor said miners produce about $1 billion in Bitcoin monthly, which new digital credit could help absorb.
He warned that restrictive monetary policy remains a major headwind as Bitcoin is an amplified risk asset sensitive to interest rates.
Saylor Opposes The Clarity Act
Saylor argued that the stalled Clarity Act could ultimately benefit cryptocurrency markets by allowing regulators to establish more flexible rules.
"The Clarity Act was 630 pages. And it was a bill of restrictions," he said, arguing that legislation should prioritize economic rights rather than regulatory limitations.
He highlighted recent guidance from the SEC, CFTC and Treasury supporting tokenization, digital derivatives and digital currencies.
Saylor believes these regulatory initiatives could unlock trillions of dollars in digital asset value without requiring comprehensive legislation.
Could Strategy Become a Trillion-Dollar Company?
Saylor said Strategy holds almost 845,000 Bitcoin worth $70 billion to $72 billion and $5 billion in cash.
He expects 20% to 30% annual growth through digital credit expansion, including plans for daily dividends on preferred securities, subject to shareholder approval.
Saylor believes digital credit could propel Strategy toward a trillion-dollar valuation.
He also sees AI-driven wealth creation and eventual monetary easing boosting Bitcoin demand despite near-term Treasury yield pressures.
“Robots can’t make more Bitcoin,” he said.
