easyMarkets Platform and Tools

easyMarkets offers trading on its innovative proprietary web-based platform and its intuitive mobile app for Android and iOS. easyMarkets also offers MT4 as a platform option.

If you use the broker’s own platform, its features include easyTrade, dealCancellation, Freeze Rate, Inside Viewer, negative balance protection, guaranteed stop loss without slippage and fixed dealing spreads. We will take an in-depth look at these below.

Freeze Rate

With the Freeze Rate button, you have the ability to freeze live rates momentarily to open or close trades. Even if the market changes during that time, easyMarkets will execute an order for you at that frozen buy or sell quote you select. In order to activate this feature, you need to click on the Freeze Rate button before you click on either sell, buy or close.

Inside Viewer

You’ll also get a useful market sentiment indicator called Inside Viewer so you can see what other traders are doing. This indicator appears directly below the price chart on the default interface of easyMarkets’ web-based platform.

DealCancellation

easyMarkets’ innovative dealCancellation feature delivers a major advantage to traders who need to undo losing trades. Note that this must be done within 6 hours. This feature is especially helpful for newer traders and news traders who operate during volatile markets or are more likely to make mistakes while learning.

The dealCancellation feature shows up as a slider button directly on the web trading platform for eligible trades, and it involves paying an upfront charge that acts a bit like insurance or an option premium. If the position reaches your stop-loss level within 6 hours of entering a trade and dealCancellation is active, you take no loss from that transaction and just pay the dealCancellation fee.

easyTrade

easyMarkets recently launched a unique new trading ticket called easyTrade that allows the trader to set their maximum risk. This will never be surpassed. Also, you can trade with zero spread and without margin requirements. You also get variable leverage ratios that depend on the market’s volatility levels.

You can take advantage of this leverage without having to worry about stop losses. Your risk remains limited by how much money you’re willing to put at risk up front and you can still enjoy unlimited potential profit on each trade.

Use easyTrade by selecting an asset, an expiry time that is one hour by default (but can also be three or six hours), how much you wish to put at risk and whether you think the market will go up or down. Once you enter into a trade, you can then either close it ahead of time or it will automatically expire at the end of its time frame. Once it expires, the resulting payout, if any, will then be credited to your account.

easyMarkets’ Research Offerings

easyMarkets offers a great selection of trader education and analysis tools that include market news, a forex news blog, trading charts, live exchange rates, a financial calendar and information on trading hours around the world.

Beginners can take advantage of a large variety of educational material and videos, which include tutorials and basic one-on-one education. Demo accounts can help you practice trading and you can test out easyMarkets’ web trading platform with a trading simulator.

You’ll find a “Getting Started” section, a “Discover” series, free eBooks, Knowledge Base, a Trading Glossary, a description of the key economic indicators and detailed FAQs. These materials cover a wide variety of topics from reading a stock chart to trading strategies. You can even attend free easyMarkets trading seminars.

easyMarkets’ Commission and Fees

easyMarkets charges no commissions on trades, just a fixed dealing spread. You can trade a wide variety of assets and spreads, including forex, metals, indices, commodities, cryptocurrencies and options.

You won’t be charged fees when you make deposits or withdraw money from your trading account, which is a major benefit because other brokers charge for those services.

You can either open a Standard or a VIP account with the following:

  • Bank wire transfer
  • Credit/debit cards like Visa, Mastercard, Maestro and American Express
  • Online banking services like Sofort and GiroPay
  • eWallets like Skrill, Neteller and FASAPAY (in Indonesia only)

There is no minimum amount you have to withdraw from your trading account to credit/debit cards or eWallets, but when you make a withdrawal to a bank account, the required minimum is $50. The typical withdrawal processing time is one business day, and withdrawals must be made to the same account you originally deposited funds from.

You will also need to provide documented proof of your address (like a bank statement or utility bill) and identity (such as a government ID or passport) before you can withdraw funds.

easyMarkets’ Security

easyMarkets is headquartered in Limassol, Cyprus within the European Union and submits to regulation under the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission’s (CySEC’s) oversight. The broker is subject to the rules and regulations specified in the EU’s Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID) and includes the segregation of client funds from its own money.

In Australia, the brokerage firm is regulated by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC).

Two decades of achievements and trustworthy service to clients have earned easyMarkets its CySEC and ASIC licenses, in addition to more than 40 global awards.

The broker’s web-based trading platform features no slippage on stop orders, guaranteed stop losses and fixed dealing spreads. The broker also offers negative balance protection, so you can never lose more than your initial deposit if a trade goes drastically wrong.

All of these features help prevent you from suffering unexpected losses and keep your investment safe.

easyMarkets’ Customer Support

easyMarkets' strong customer service department offers support via live chat, email, fax and telephone 24/5 throughout the trading week. Its range of live chat features includes Facebook Messenger, Viber, What’s App and a web-based live chat.

easyMarkets’ customer service staff also provides support in English, Arabic, Italian, German, Spanish, Chinese and even Polish. Its website is also translated into those same languages, in addition to Spanish and Chinese. easyMarkets’ Tradable Asset Class

You can trade over 200 assets in a wide variety of markets at easyMarkets. Assets and contracts for difference (CFDs) include forex, cryptocurrencies, metals and other commodities, indices and vanilla options. The broker even offers option based trading with its limited-risk easyTrade service.

easyMarkets’ Ease of Use

As its name implies, easyMarkets is very easy to use, and if you’re on the hunt for the best online broker, it’s simple to open an easyMarkets account. Its web-based trading platform is remarkably straightforward (excellent for beginners) and a free demo account is available for simulated trading.

Trading at easyMarkets doesn’t even require a download and installation process, although you will need to do that if you use MetaTrader 4.

Final Thoughts

easyMarkets is an industry-changing, well-regulated broker that should work well for beginners to advanced traders, though U.S.-based traders need to find another broker. easyMarkets’ competitive fixed dealing spreads and user-friendly web platform (combined with support for the ever-popular MetaTrader 4) makes easyMarkets a competent, well-priced broker with a decent range of tradable assets and extensive educational materials.
