JinkoSolar Holding Co Ltd was incorporated on August 3, 2007. It is a solar power product manufacturer. It has built a vertically integrated solar power product value chain, from recovering silicon materials to manufacturing solar modules and solar project development. It sells its solar modules under its own "JinkoSolar" brand, with a small portion of solar modules on an OEM basis. It also sells silicon wafers and solar cells not used in its solar module production. It also develops PV projects in China and provide solar system integration services. As of December 31, 2013, its share of completed solar projects amounted to 213 MW, with annual power generation capacity approaching 324 million kWh. The Company operates in two segments. The first segment is the vertically integrated solar power products manufacturing business ("manufacturing segment"), under which it manufactures silicon ingots, wafers, cells and solar modules. The second segment is the downstream solar projects ("solar projects segment"), under which it develops, construct and operate the solar projects, including project development, engineering, procurement, and construction ("EPC"), (iii) connecting solar projects to the grid and operation and maintenance of the solar projects. It competes in terms of product quality and consistency, pricing, timely delivery, ability to fill large orders and reputation for reliable customer support services. It competes with integrated as well as specialized manufacturers of solar cells and solar modules such as Trina and Yingli Green Energy, Canadian Solar Inc and ReneSola Ltd. The Company has 10 trademarks in the PRC, such as "Jinko", "JKsolar ", and "JinkoSolar", and 2 trademarks in Hong Kong and Taiwan, including "Jinko", "JinkoSolar " and "JKsolar".
