NBA Champ Jason Williams Says Marijuana Enhances Creativity On Court But Not 'Good Idea' Before Game

The National Basketball Association (NBA) has not been testing players for marijuana use since April 2023. Some questioned the move, while others praised it, including rapper, cannabis entrepreneur and advocate Snoop Dogg. Former NBA player Jason Williams, who played from 1998 to 2011, said even if marijuana had been legal during his playing days, he wouldn't have used it before games. "I don't think anyone should probably smoke before a game, Williams told Basketball Network. "For some people, it might help them, and I'm sure it does, but for me, smoking before a game wouldn't be a good idea."

One World Products has entered into an exclusive agreement with Procepack Corp. The move grants OWP the perpetual exclusive rights to buy advanced PreRoll-Er fully automated pre-roll filler systems within Colombia. Under the terms of the deal, Procepack agreed to support OWP's expansion in the expanding global cannabis market by ensuring access to cutting-edge technology that streamlines the production process. Procepack, known for its robust portfolio of innovative machinery brings expertise in labelers, cappers, liquid fillers, and other complementary machines, all made in their Quebec factory. Francis Bouchard, marketing director at PreRoll-Er, said the collaboration with OWP would allow them to open a "brand-new market for our machines." The PreRoll-Er 400 system is capable of producing up to 2,200 pre-roll products per hour. That's over 4.5 million annually. Isiah Thomas, CEO and chairman of OWP expressed his enthusiasm regarding the deal that's effective Feb. 26, 2024.

The legalization of marijuana in Colombia has been delayed after the Senate members put a halt to its implementation. The decision is expected to prompt lawmakers to start the legislative process again if they wish to continue with the proposed reforms to legalize cannabis. However, the lack of regulatory changes in marijuana laws is not affecting One World Products' operations or business prospects. The company recently agreed a deal to manufacture the Smokiez Gummies for distribution in the US, Europe and South America. It also signed an agreement with Kx Family Care to produce and distribute its CBD-enriched product range in Colombia and other Latin American countries. One World said both agreements are on track and will undergo production and commercialization soon. Further attempts will be made to legalize marijuana in Colombia within the next six months.
