Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) tapped $83,000 Tuesday, rising roughly 1.5% as reports of a potential U.S.-Iran deal lifted risk appetite across crypto markets.
Why Crypto Rallied on Iran Deal Reports
Widely-followed market commentator Bull Theory posted on X that the U.S. and Iran have reportedly agreed to a deal to end the war, according to Al-Araby Al-Jadeed.
Qatar and Pakistan mediated the agreement, which reportedly includes confidential IAEA inspections and a partial return of Iran’s frozen funds.
The New Arab reported that Qatar and Pakistan presented a “middle-ground proposal” meeting both sides’ demands, delivered today by Pakistan’s army chief to Iranian officials.
The proposal offers roughly $6 billion in Iranian funds frozen in Qatari banks as a partial response to Iran’s demand to recover those assets, while Iran reportedly agreed to a secret IAEA visit to its nuclear sites in response to US demands.
Ethereum (CRYPTO: ETH) climbed about 2.5%, and XRP (CRYPTO: XRP) gained roughly 3% on the news.
Bitcoin moved above its 20-day EMA, while Ethereum and XRP still face resistance near $2,500 and $1.37 to $1.38, respectively.
BlackRock’s Bitcoin ETF Posts Its Biggest Inflow in a Year
SoSoValue data showed that BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (NASDAQ:IBIT) logged $665.16 million in net inflows Monday, its largest single-day inflow since October 7, 2025.
That flow drove total US spot Bitcoin ETFs to $526.6 million in net inflows for the day, even as outflows from Fidelity’s and Grayscale’s funds partially offset the gain.
Spot Ether ETFs told a different story, posting $103.3 million in net outflows Monday and extending their losing streak to four straight days.
The divergence came even as Bitcoin stayed trapped in a tight $82,000 to $83,000 range amid lingering fears that further rate hikes could weigh on risk assets broadly.
